// With existing StructinnerSpec, _:=NewServiceStruct("Inner", "innerService")
spec, err:=NewServiceStruct("Wrapper", innerSpec)

Usage Examples

Dynamic Unmarshaling Specification

// Simple: just specify the type namespec, _:=NewStruct("Config", map[string]any{
"Database": "PostgresDB",
})
// Nested: specify type with its own field typesspec, _:=NewStruct("Config", map[string]any{
"Database": [2]any{"PostgresDB", map[string]any{
"Connection": "TCPConnection",
}},
})
// List of typesspec, _:=NewStruct("Config", map[string]any{
"Servers": []string{"HTTPServer", "GRPCServer"},
})
// Map of typesspec, _:=NewStruct("Config", map[string]any{
"Handlers": map[string]string{
"api": "APIHandler",
"web": "WebHandler",
},
})

Service Orchestration Specification

// End-node with service delegationspec, _:=NewServiceStruct("Config", map[string]any{
"Provider": []string{"CloudProvider", "providerService"},
})
// Nested structure with service delegationspec, _:=NewServiceStruct("Root", map[string]any{
"Child": [2]any{"ChildType", map[string]any{
"Grandchild": []string{"GrandchildType", "grandchildService"},
}},
})
// Reusing pre-built Structs in [2]any// This allows you to define a Struct once and reuse it multiple times// with different wrapper class names, avoiding duplicationinnerSpec, _:=NewServiceStruct("InnerType", map[string]any{
"Field1": []string{"Type1", "service1"},
"Field2": []string{"Type2", "service2"},
})
// Use innerSpec directly in [2]any - the first element becomes the new className,// and the second element (innerSpec) provides the fields and service namespec, _:=NewServiceStruct("Root", map[string]any{
// Single struct with new className but reusing innerSpec's fields"SingleField": [2]any{"WrapperClass", innerSpec},
// In lists"ListField": [][2]any{
{"Wrapper1", innerSpec},
{"Wrapper2", innerSpec},
},
// In maps"MapField": map[string][2]any{
"key1": {"Wrapper1", innerSpec},
"key2": {"Wrapper2", innerSpec},
},
})

Using Pre-built Structs

// Create structs directlychildSpec:=&Struct{ClassName: "Child", ServiceName: "childService"}
parentSpec, _:=NewStruct("Parent", map[string]any{
"Child": childSpec,
})
// List of pre-built structsspecs:= []*Struct{
{ClassName: "TypeA"},
{ClassName: "TypeB"},
}
value, _:=NewValue(specs)

JSON Marshaling

The Struct type implements json.Marshaler and json.Unmarshaler, allowing it to be serialized to and from the simplified JSON Schema format described in JSON Schema Representation.

// Create a Structspec, _:=NewStruct("Person", map[string]any{
"Name": "String",
"Age": "Integer",
})
// Marshal to JSON Schemadata, _:=json.MarshalIndent(spec, "", " ")
fmt.Println(string(data))
// Output:// {// "className": "Person",// "properties": {// "Name": { "className": "String" },// "Age": { "className": "Integer" }// }// }// Unmarshal from JSON SchemavarnewSpec schema.StructjsonStr:=`{ "className": "Person", "properties": { "Name": { "className": "String" } }}`json.Unmarshal([]byte(jsonStr), &newSpec)

Package Aliases

Using Pre-built Structs

// Create structs directlychildSpec:=&Struct{ClassName: "Child", ServiceName: "childService"}
parentSpec, _:=NewStruct("Parent", map[string]any{

JSON Marshaling

The Struct type implements json.Marshaler and json.Unmarshaler, allowing it to be serialized to and from the simplified JSON Schema format described in JSON Schema Representation.

// Create a Structspec, _:=NewStruct("Person", map[string]any{
"Name": "String",
"Age": "Integer",
})
// Marshal to JSON Schemadata, _:=json.MarshalIndent(spec, "", " ")
fmt.Println(string(data))
// Output:// {// "className": "Person",// "properties": {// "Name": { "className": "String" },// "Age": { "className": "Integer" }// }// }// Unmarshal from JSON SchemavarnewSpec schema.StructjsonStr:=`{ "className": "Person", "properties": { "Name": { "className": "String" } }}`json.Unmarshal([]byte(jsonStr), &newSpec)

Package schema

GoDoc

Package schema provides unified data structures for describing hierarchical configuration schemas. It consolidates types from horizon/utils and determined/det into a single shared definition.

For a detailed guide on representing these structures using JSON Schema, see JSON Schema Representation.

Overview

The schema package defines types used across multiple packages for:

  • Dynamic HCL/JSON unmarshaling: Using ClassName for type lookup when unmarshaling into interface fields
  • Service orchestration: Using ClassName and ServiceName for delegating read/write operations to microservices

Installation

go get github.com/OpenUdon/schema

Schema Types

All types are defined in Go code.
