Description

Documents the configuration required to use Azure Blob Storage SDK types with Java Functions.

Without SDK type support enabled, the Java worker treats BlobClient as a POJO and Gson attempts to deserialize it, resulting in a duplicate client field exception.

Fixes#222.

Changes

  • Document supported Blob Storage SDK types.
  • Document the JAVA_ENABLE_SDK_TYPES=true application setting.
  • Document the Azure Functions Maven Plugin 1.38.0+ requirement.
  • Add a BlobClient trigger example.
  • Clarify the one-SDK-type-per-function limitation.
  • Update BlobTrigger Javadoc with the same requirements.

Validation

  • No runtime code was changed.

Description
Documents the configuration required to use Azure Blob Storage SDK types with Java Functions.
Without SDK type support enabled, the Java worker treats BlobClient as a POJO and Gson attempts to deserialize it, resulting in a duplicate client field exception.
Fixes#222.
Changes
  • Document supported Blob Storage SDK types.
  • Document the JAVA_ENABLE_SDK_TYPES=true application setting.
  • Document the Azure Functions Maven Plugin 1.38.0+ requirement.
  • Add a BlobClient trigger example.
  • Clarify the one-SDK-type-per-function limitation.
  • Update BlobTrigger Javadoc with the same requirements.
Validation
  • No runtime code was changed.
