Agentic Story-to-Screen Projection: one-click downstream candidate generation from the written story #2175

Description

@BryanHarrisScripts

Parent

#2165 Writer-to-Screen Convergence

Objective

Allow a writer who mainly wants to write to ask PlotPickle to project accepted story material downstream into candidate visual/production layers without surrendering authorship or canon authority.

User promise

From a selected Block, Sequence or approved story scope, the writer can request something equivalent to:

Visualize this Block or Build a visual production pass from my story.

PlotPickle may then propose:

Written Story → Outline interpretation → visual references / Storyboard → Previs → Scene Workspace synchronization → Production candidate

Authority boundaries

Modes

Support bounded scopes rather than one giant opaque run, for example:

  • current Mini-Block;
  • current Block;
  • current Sequence;
  • explicitly authorized larger story scope.

Prefer cheap/local planning and preview work before expensive generation when the active Story Mode allows it.

Afterglow acceptance

On an Afterglow test copy, one known Block can run an agentic projection that produces traceable candidate downstream state while leaving the source story unchanged until the Human explicitly accepts changes.

Exit criteria

  1. Agentic projection can run in a bounded scope.
  2. Every candidate is attributable to source story/revision and Responsibility Run.
  3. No generated proposal self-promotes to canon.
  4. Provider/spend/consent boundaries remain intact.
  5. Human can inspect stage-by-stage outputs and stop/reject/revise.
  6. Afterglow fixture and Afterglow Story-to-Screen CI/UAT: verify Post-it → Writing → Outline → Storyboard → Previs → Scene Workspace → Production #2174 prove the full proposal chain remains traceable.
  7. Manual writer-first use remains fully supported; agentic mode is optional acceleration, not a prerequisite.
