Booking Process

This page describes the steps you would typically take in order to make a booking using the API.

  • Display a page to collect the property, dates, party size and number of pets
  • Post these details to the booking-enquiry endpoint
  • Display the price of the holiday to the customer
  • If the customer is happy to continue, POST the details to the booking endpoint
  • Collect the customers name, address, etc, and PUT to /booking/(id)/customer
  • Collect the details of the party, and PUT to /booking/(id)/party
  • (optional) to add a note to the booking, POST to /booking/(id)/note
  • (optional) to apply a voucher code to the booking, PUT to /booking/(id)/voucher/(vouchercode)
  • (optional) If the customer wants any optional extras, PUT to /booking/(id)/extra/(extracode)
  • (optional) If you take a payment for the booking, POST to /booking/(id)/payment
  • Finally PUT to /booking/(id)/confirmation - at this stage the booking if finished, and will appear in the customers booking system for them to process
