Both PRs remove role="status" from the same static empty-directory message. #436 is the canonical bounded implementation because it preserves the surrounding list/navigation/decorative semantics, includes focused regression coverage, and records the WAI-ARIA basis and claim boundary in APA doctoring. No check or review evidence transfers from this duplicate.
