Dev 1.6.4 as Next Stable Release

What's Changed/Fixed?:

PR: [ #577 ] - Fix Multiple GNUton Mount Points

PR: [ #578 ] - Code Improvements and Fine-Tuning

  • Code improvements when mounting the GNUton-specific webs_update.sh file to make sure it's installed only if the F/W-installed version is older than the fixed version from MerlinAU.
  • (Thanks @Martinski4GitHub )

As always, we highly recommend you update ASAP as this includes functional improvements and little bug fixes.

- Replaced the newly-added FLock mechanism with the existing Lock mechanism already in place since it can handle a blocking lock to wait until the current process releases the lock.
- Code improvements when mounting the GNUton-specific webs_update.sh file to make sure it's installed only if the F/W-installed version is older than the fixed version from MerlinAU.

Actually I re-added the separate, dedicated FLOCK blocking mechanism to protect the initialization routines because it was a cleaner and leaner implementation for fast operations.

I can't think of anything else to change or add at the moment, I'm assuming it's the same for you based on looking at your Github "dev" branch for MerlinAU, I see nothing currently pending.

So based on that, I will send off this release today.
Feel free to send any other PRs today before this evening.
(If you would like to squeeze anything else in last moment.)

So based on that, I will send off this release today. Feel free to send any other other PRs today before this evening. (If you would like to squeeze anything else in last moment.)

You're right, I have nothing else at the moment to add or change in MerlinAU, so yes, issue the latest production release whenever you're ready.

P.S.
Today is Father's Day in the US, and we're leaving home in a couple of minutes to celebrate. I'll check back in later tonight just in case something comes up.
