Note: I am pointing at the master branch because there's no way to create a PR to create a new branch.

I pulled in Linux 5.10.1 from git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable-rc.git, then cherry-picked @reynhout's commits and updated other patches / configs as needed.

I am building now to test.

I did this by running:
cp galliumos/config .config
make olddefconfig
I made sure to compare that the manual tweaks done in 58f51da
remained as they were after that commit.

Will try that "4.0" later. Is it working fine?
For me in 2025 the Original Version of Gallium OS is still good. Taking only 8GB on my 16GB disk.

My Cookbook:
Use Free Ubuntu PRO service for long term security updates.
In order to make Ubuntu Pro patches applied automatically - had to change os name in /etc/os-release

Install snapd - apps appear to be working fine from there. Chromium, Opera, Firefox.

Do not install that build, it has not been updated since 2023 and I have completely stopped development of 4.0.
