Upgrades dependencies to support latest Firebase repo
Need some help in figuring something out though:
When running the MP project, Im getting Exceptions like
Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'void com.google.android.gms.common.internal.Preconditions.checkNotGoogleApiHandlerThread()'. This seems to be related to the play services being out of sync but I cant seem to fix it. My expertise in this library is minimal so perhaps @nbransby knows what's wrong
