the sample won't work unless you specify the gcloud sdk directory in the command line or in pom.xml, UNLESS you installed the gcloud sdk at the default location.

I swear it used to work without that, but I'm getting the same error "Unkown Google Cloud SDK location" even after following the maven install instructions at https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/java/managed-vms/maven

@shun-fan Should we check with the gcloud team? Has there been a maven plugin update?

the sample won't work unless you specify the gcloud sdk directory in the command line or in pom.xml, UNLESS you installed the gcloud sdk at the default location.

I swear it used to work without that, but I'm getting the same error "Unkown Google Cloud SDK location" even after following the maven install instructions at https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/java/managed-vms/maven
@shun-fan Should we check with the gcloud team? Has there been a maven plugin update?
