again R3 stats problem in SPSS 26 mac

hi, How can SPSS tolerate your work because it is full errors? I installed SPSS 26 to MacBook Pro and again there is this R configuration problem.

STATS R3 CONFIGURATION R_HOME="/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/3.6/Resources".
" Yes again there is a problem : SPSS does not recognize
stats what you recommended"

Error # 1. Command name: STATS
The first word in the line is not recognized as an SPSS Statistics command.
Execution of this command stops.

You have to install this command using the Extensions menu in Statistics before you can run it.

Thank You but that does not work anymore! I tried to do it many time but it does not work! Ok, it worked for the first time R36 extension but than I think I accidentally installed after that R35 extension which I cannot use anyway because I have R3.6. When I tried to install R36 again from extension hub, I cannot do itI. There is an error null. This it the same that was in SPSS 25, exactly the same error code! I also removed from libraries those R36 extension folders in order to (see attachments (It does not allow to even install R36 (it is greyed!) but it allows to install R35, which I cannot use because I can have only R.6.2 in my Mac, I allows only one R-version). So the question is why I cannot install R_36_configuration but R35_configuarion is possible???

Sorry correction: I have R3.6.2 installed so I would need R_36- configuration. In my Mac I can have only one R version installed, I think… Ciao, Jukka

Unfortunately, Statistics 26 does not support R3.6. You have to use 3.5. Statistics requires a header file from R in order to make the connection, and that header file is specific to the R version. I don't know why Mac OS would limit you to one version of R. Other operating systems allow any number of R versions.

CRAN says, for Mac OS
4.3 Multiple versions
The installer will remove any previous version22 of the R framework which it finds installed. This can be avoided by using pkgutil --forget (see the previous section). However, note that different versions are installed under /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions as 3.5, 3.6 and so on, so it is not possible to have different ‘3.x.y’ versions installed for the same ‘x’.

Hi, i noticed that. R36_configuration is valid only for spss27! The problem is that in Mac there is difficult to have several R versions. It is possible but in practice there are problems. Ciao, Jukka

Hi, I found: "But how do we go through the process of installing different versions of R to begin with? RSwitch <https://rud.is/rswitch/guide/index.html> a nicer looking GUI that requires more recent versions of OSX. You can also use ln -s via Terminal to reassign the symlink manually.

There actually isn't a Statistics version 27 available currently except for the Subscription version, which leads the generally available version.
