James Pascal-Therios — Software Developer, Cyber Security

whoami — software developer, cyber security graduate

    About

I'm a software developer finishing a cyber security degree at Deakin. Most of my paid work is client software: APIs, integrations, internal tools, and lately a fair amount of LLM plumbing under the name MesonAi.

The security half started as coursework and became the part I actually enjoy. It's the same skill pointed backwards. You spend a week writing the auth flow, then you spend the next one looking for the way around it, and you learn more in the second week than the first.

I like problems where the correct behaviour is easy to state and hard to guarantee.

    Stack

    Engineering, security and environment stack

    Currently

    • Finishing BSc Cyber Security at Deakin University
    • Building integrations and AI-backed tooling for clients under MesonAi
    • Running Arch + Hyprland on a ThinkPad and breaking it on a regular schedule
    • Looking at graduate roles in security engineering and AppSec

                  • Building integrations and AI-backed tooling for clients under MesonAi
                  • Running Arch + Hyprland on a ThinkPad and breaking it on a regular schedule
                  • Looking at graduate roles in security engineering and AppSec
