Description

This PR introduces a new AGENTS.md file at the repository root. This file provides concise guidelines for repository layout, TypeScript and Python development workflows (setup, testing, linting/formatting, changelog), and documentation best practices, aligning with existing contributing documentation.

Tests

No functional tests were run as this is a documentation-only change.

Checklist

A couple of things to include in your PR for completeness:

  • Added documentation to all relevant README.md files
  • Added a changelog entry

Description
This PR introduces a new AGENTS.md file at the repository root. This file provides concise guidelines for repository layout, TypeScript and Python development workflows (setup, testing, linting/formatting, changelog), and documentation best practices, aligning with existing contributing documentation.
Tests
No functional tests were run as this is a documentation-only change.
Checklist
A couple of things to include in your PR for completeness:
  •  Added documentation to all relevant README.md files
  •  Added a changelog entry

  • NewAGENTS.md at repo root describing repo layout (typescript/, python/, shared assets)
