Description

Clang does not allow version component numbers > 65535. This PR splits the patch version into two components, ensure they fall within the acceptable limit. The major and minor versions cannot exceed the limitation as is, and leading zeroes are always removed.

MAJOR = YYYY, e.g. 2026
MINOR = MMDD, e.g. 0120 => 120

Description
Clang does not allow version component numbers > 65535. This PR splits the patch version into two components, ensure they fall within the acceptable limit. The major and minor versions cannot exceed the limitation as is, and leading zeroes are always removed.
MAJOR = YYYY, e.g. 2026

MINOR = MMDD, e.g. 0120 => 120
