Overview of changes:

Update dev typing for node to v22 in lieu of #2838

Also removing typing from subpackage given that it is present in root package, to prevent driff between the two versions.

Because @types/node is defined in your root package.json's devDependencies, it is hoisted to the root node_modules and becomes available to all packages in the workspace.
It ensures that all packages use the exact same version of Node.js types, preventing subtle type mismatches. And keeps your subpackage package.json files cleaner.

Also add step in migration doc for future migration taskers.

Overview of changes:

Update dev typing for node to v22 in lieu of #2838

Also removing typing from subpackage given that it is present in root package, to prevent driff between the two versions.

Because @types/node is defined in your root package.json's devDependencies, it is hoisted to the root node_modules and becomes available to all packages in the workspace.
It ensures that all packages use the exact same version of Node.js types, preventing subtle type mismatches. And keeps your subpackage package.json files cleaner.

Also add step in migration doc for future migration taskers.
