What is Open Arc?

Open Arc is an independent software organization with no corporate backing, no investors, and no agenda beyond shipping good software. We build across the full stack — from bare-metal kernels to CLI tools, security frameworks, developer utilities, network software, and AI tooling.

Everything we make is open source. Forever.

What we build

DomainDescription
Systems & OSKernels, bootloaders, low-level infrastructure, hardware drivers
Security ToolingRecon frameworks, anonymization tools, penetration testing utilities
Developer ToolsCLI utilities, package managers, editors, compression systems
NetworkingProtocol implementations, mesh hubs, privacy-first network software
AI & InferenceLocal AI systems, inference tooling, offline-first assistant frameworks
Mobile & AndroidTermux-native apps, Android utilities, cross-platform mobile tooling

Principles

Open by default — Every project ships under MIT or GPL. No exceptions.

Low level when it matters — We go as close to the metal as the problem requires.

Built to run anywhere — From servers to smartphones to bare hardware.

No gatekeeping — No CLA, no approval process, no hierarchy.

Ship over talk — We measure progress in commits, not roadmaps.
