Welcome to the OpenJBOD documentation!

Welcome to the documentation for the OpenJBOD project! The OpenJBOD project is an free and open source hardware and software project aiming to make it easier to use and/or reuse JBODs in IT environments of any scale, from small homelabs to large scale datacenters.

Projects

OpenJBOD currently consists of two projects:

The OpenJBOD RP2040 is an open source JBOD controller board using an RP2040 microcontroller to maintain an ATX power supply state and a PCI-e slot for powering a standalone SAS expander. It also features a W5500 NIC for networked management, an EMC2301 fan controller, and an onboard temperature probe.

The OpenJBOD Software is a MicroPython software package that accompanies the OpenJBOD RP2040 and provides the web UI run on the NIC, as well as the functions that help provide the features of the board.
