Hi there 👋, I'm Philip Tait
I'm a final-year Bachelor of Science in Informatics and Computer Science student at Strathmore University, Kenya, passionate about leveraging technology, data, and artificial intelligence to solve real-world challenges across Africa.
With a background in full-stack software development, I am increasingly focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI for Social Impact.
Currently, I serve as a Junior Smart Fellow at the iLabAfrica Research and Innovation Centre, where I contribute to research and innovation initiatives that apply data and emerging technologies to address development challenges.
I am also the Founder of the Strathmore Data Community (SDC), a student-led community of over 300 members dedicated to advancing data literacy through workshops, hackathons, mentorship programs, industry engagements, and collaborative learning opportunities.
