PR Description

🎯 Overview

This PR refactors the frontend codebase to improve code organization, maintainability, and user experience through component extraction, custom hooks, and profile management enhancements.

✨ Key Changes

Component Modularization

  • Extracted Navbar.js into reusable sub-components:
    • AvatarMenu.js - User avatar and account menu
    • NavbarMenu.jsx - Navigation menu items
  • Refactored Providers.js screen with extracted components:
    • ProviderSearch.js - Search input component
    • ProviderList.jsx - Provider list display with loading states
    • VMConfigForm.jsx - VM configuration form
  • Refactored Profile.js screen with extracted components:
    • ProfileHeader.jsx - User profile display section
    • ProfileTabs.jsx - Tabbed interface for Projects/Clients
    • EditProfileModal.js - Profile update modal

Custom Hooks

Introduced 5 new custom hooks for better state management and reusability:

  • useAccount.js - Centralized user account data fetching
  • useNavbarScroll.js - Navbar visibility on scroll behavior
  • useClickOutside.js - Reusable click-outside detection for dropdowns
  • useProfile.js - Combined user, providers, and clients data fetching
  • useProviders.js - Provider search with debouncing support

New Features

  • Profile Editing: Users can now update profile name and upload profile images (with 1MB size validation)
  • Toast Notifications: Added user feedback for profile update success/error states
  • Improved UX: Better modal handling and popup dismissal

Code Quality Improvements

  • userUtils.js - Extracted getInitials() utility function to eliminate duplication
  • Reduced code duplication across multiple components
  • Improved separation of concerns
  • Better hook-based state management vs inline state

Minor Updates

  • Updated .gitignore to exclude build folder
  • Added cursor pointer styling to delete button in DashboardView
  • Fixed commented test data logic in apiServices.js
  • Enhanced ProviderCard border styling consistency

  • Files Changed: 21
  • Additions: 828 lines
  • Deletions: 600 lines
  • Net Change: +228 lines (with improved maintainability)

  • Verify navbar shows/hides on scroll correctly

PR Description
🎯 Overview
This PR refactors the frontend codebase to improve code organization, maintainability, and user experience through component extraction, custom hooks, and profile management enhancements.
✨ Key Changes
Component Modularization
  • Extracted Navbar.js into reusable sub-components:

    • AvatarMenu.js - User avatar and account menu
    • NavbarMenu.jsx - Navigation menu items
  • Refactored Providers.js screen with extracted components:

    • ProviderSearch.js - Search input component
    • ProviderList.jsx - Provider list display with loading states
    • VMConfigForm.jsx - VM configuration form
  • Refactored Profile.js screen with extracted components:

    • ProfileHeader.jsx - User profile display section
    • ProfileTabs.jsx - Tabbed interface for Projects/Clients
    • EditProfileModal.js - Profile update modal
Custom Hooks
Introduced 5 new custom hooks for better state management and reusability:
  • useAccount.js - Centralized user account data fetching
  • useNavbarScroll.js - Navbar visibility on scroll behavior
  • useClickOutside.js - Reusable click-outside detection for dropdowns
  • useProfile.js - Combined user, providers, and clients data fetching
  • useProviders.js - Provider search with debouncing support
New Features
  • Profile Editing: Users can now update profile name and upload profile images (with 1MB size validation)
  • Toast Notifications: Added user feedback for profile update success/error states
  • Improved UX: Better modal handling and popup dismissal
Code Quality Improvements
  • userUtils.js - Extracted getInitials() utility function to eliminate duplication
  • Reduced code duplication across multiple components
  • Improved separation of concerns
  • Better hook-based state management vs inline state
Minor Updates
  • Updated .gitignore to exclude build folder
  • Added cursor pointer styling to delete button in DashboardView
  • Fixed commented test data logic in apiServices.js
  • Enhanced ProviderCard border styling consistency
