In PR ROOT-Sim/core#78, the refurbished testing framework has dropped the thread pool to support parallel tests. As discussed, the thread pool can be beneficial to support dependent test cases and is more aligned to what the simulation library is doing internally. Therefore, it should be reintroduced.
