How to block this program from accessing the internet?

hi thank you for this great software
Contrary to what I thought, this program is not completely offline!
It seems like it depends on my internet connection.

For example, if my VPN is on, every time I open and close the app it starts downloading something again!
Or sometimes a page won’t load at all.
And when I’m working with the program and I change my connection, it says ‘downloading model’ and I have to wait for the model to load — and sometimes it doesn’t load at all.

Can you guide me on how to block this program from accessing the internet?

Hi, thanks, I'm very happy to hear that.

127.0.0.1 is your computer's local address. When you run ZPix, a local server starts up. When you exit ZPix, this server closes. This server is accessible only from your machine. You must not block this server; otherwise, you will be unable to access the ZPix interface, as shown in your screenshot.

Regarding the Internet, ZPix checks for self updates, downloads the Python executable and packages, and does attempt to re-download a model as soon as it is selected (in case the model has been updated). In principle, you can block outgoing traffic from .venv\Scripts\python.exe (inside your ZPix folder), using e.g. a Windows Firewall rule. Let me know if such a rule causes issues.
