Ethernet regression

The v1.0.0 TCP transport terminated SCPI commands with CR only. Druck K0472 section 2.2 requires LF (ASCII 10), while the validated v0.3.1 Windows implementation sends CRLF. The PACE could therefore keep waiting for the end of *IDN? until the application timed out.

  • Send Ethernet SCPI commands with CRLF, matching v0.3.1 and satisfying the required final LF.
  • Ignore a delayed empty LF when a CRLF response is split across TCP packets.
  • Add a loopback TCP regression test for the exact bytes and two-query handshake.

Help and acknowledgements

  • Add a bilingual Help menu with Report a problem and About PACE Controller.
  • Link reports directly to https://github.com/SebRoLENS/pace-controller/issues.
  • Show Sebastiano Romi, LENS, University of Florence (UNIFI), and romi@lens.unifi.it in the application.
  • Reuse CurveMole's cleaned Linux host environment so frozen packages can open browser/file-manager links reliably.
  • Add a structured GitHub bug-report form.

Zenodo DOI automation

  • Add post-release Zenodo polling and automatic DOI insertion in README, CITATION.cff, and GitHub release notes.
  • Reset each new release to a DOI-pending state until Zenodo publishes it.
  • Add full author affiliation/email metadata and the citation section.

Validation

  • 17 passed in the cross-platform pytest suite.
  • All 7 repository consistency tests passed.
  • Python source and release scripts compile cleanly.
  • git diff --check passes.
  • The frozen v0.3.1 PowerShell implementation remains unchanged.

Hardware validation should begin at low pressure on an unloaded setup. Zenodo archival additionally requires enabling this repository once in the user's Zenodo GitHub integration.

Ethernet regression
The v1.0.0 TCP transport terminated SCPI commands with CR only. Druck K0472 section 2.2 requires LF (ASCII 10), while the validated v0.3.1 Windows implementation sends CRLF. The PACE could therefore keep waiting for the end of *IDN? until the application timed out.
  • Send Ethernet SCPI commands with CRLF, matching v0.3.1 and satisfying the required final LF.
  • Ignore a delayed empty LF when a CRLF response is split across TCP packets.
  • Add a loopback TCP regression test for the exact bytes and two-query handshake.
Help and acknowledgements
  • Add a bilingual Help menu with Report a problem and About PACE Controller.
  • Link reports directly to https://github.com/SebRoLENS/pace-controller/issues.
  • Show Sebastiano Romi, LENS, University of Florence (UNIFI), and romi@lens.unifi.it in the application.
  • Reuse CurveMole's cleaned Linux host environment so frozen packages can open browser/file-manager links reliably.
  • Add a structured GitHub bug-report form.
Zenodo DOI automation
  • Add post-release Zenodo polling and automatic DOI insertion in README, CITATION.cff, and GitHub release notes.
  • Reset each new release to a DOI-pending state until Zenodo publishes it.
  • Add full author affiliation/email metadata and the citation section.
Validation
  • 17 passed in the cross-platform pytest suite.
  • All 7 repository consistency tests passed.
  • Python source and release scripts compile cleanly.
  • git diff --check passes.
  • The frozen v0.3.1 PowerShell implementation remains unchanged.
Hardware validation should begin at low pressure on an unloaded setup. Zenodo archival additionally requires enabling this repository once in the user's Zenodo GitHub integration.
