Problem

Starring a model from a third-party provider profile (e.g. a Kimi endpoint configured alongside official Claude Code) persisted the favorite, but the model never showed up in the picker's Favorites rail.

Root cause

render_model_picker built the Favorites row list (and the has_favorites check) by sweeping only composer_state.picker_models(kind) — the built-in profile catalogs. Third-party profiles resolve their models through picker_models_for_profile(id), so their favorites were never enumerated.

Fix

  • Sweep every enabled profile (built-in and third-party) in rail order for the Favorites rail and the has_favorites check.
  • Carry profile_id on third-party favorite rows so selecting one routes to its profile instead of the built-in.
  • Attribute third-party rows to their profile in the row's sub-label (profile accent glyph + display name) instead of the built-in provider label, on both the Favorites and profile rails.

Verification

  • cargo check -p tcode-ui — clean
  • cargo clippy -p tcode-ui — clean
  • cargo test -p tcode-ui --lib — 253 passed

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

The Favorites rail (and the has-favorites check that decides whether it
opens first) only swept the built-in provider catalogs, so a model
starred on a user-created profile (e.g. a Kimi endpoint) never appeared
under Favorites. Sweep every enabled profile in rail order instead, and
carry the profile id on the row so selecting a third-party favorite
routes to its profile. Third-party rows now also show their profile's
glyph accent and display name instead of the built-in provider label.
