Summary

  • keep the newest command output or file-edit diff expanded until another activity arrives
  • collapse superseded details immediately once they have already been visible for 500ms
  • wait only for the remaining part of the minimum visibility window when activities arrive quickly
  • document the updated timeline behavior

Verification

  • cargo fmt --all --check
  • cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets --locked -- -D warnings
  • cargo test --workspace --locked
  • cargo build --locked
