Summary

This fixes the regression introduced by #60 where sending a message could remain stuck indefinitely while the same message appeared in both the queue and the user bubble.

The root cause was the harness-owned pre-turn checkpoint pipeline: dispatch, transcript recording, queue removal, Git snapshotting, and file-change attribution were coupled into one state transition. This PR removes that design and makes provider events authoritative.

What changed

  • remove Tcode's hidden Git checkpoint refs and checkpoint persistence service
  • remove generic Revert and inline Edit & resend UI
  • record/remove a queued message only after the provider command channel accepts it
  • attribute changed files from provider events instead of ambient before/after workspace diffs
  • expose Claude Code's native code, conversation, and combined rewind operations when supported
  • keep provider-confirmed rewind markers append-only in Tcode's event log
  • intentionally omit Codex rewind: its current thread/rollback API is deprecated, conversation-only, and does not restore local files
  • add an upgrade note with the one-time command for deleting legacy checkpoint refs

Breaking change

This deliberately removes Tcode-owned checkpoint, generic revert, and inline edit/resend behavior. Existing checkpoint metadata is ignored, and Tcode no longer creates or restores refs/tcode/checkpoints/*.

Users of builds containing #60 can remove legacy refs inside each affected repository with:

git for-each-ref --format='delete %(refname)' refs/tcode/checkpoints/ | git update-ref --stdin

This cleanup does not modify branches, commits, the index, or working-tree files.

Validation

  • cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets -- -D warnings
  • cargo test --workspace --all-targets
  • cargo fmt --all -- --check
  • git diff --check
