🤔 Background

Related #1106

Build Bash 3.0 Image fetched the tarball with a bare curl -LO, no retry and
no fallback. ftp.gnu.org timed out on two unrelated PRs within one afternoon
(#1103 and #1105), both curl exit 28, and each needed a human to notice the
red tick had nothing to do with the change.

💡 Changes

  • --retry 5 --retry-delay 3 --retry-connrefused --connect-timeout 20 on all three downloads
  • mirrors.kernel.org fallback for the tarball, so a single mirror being slow is not a failed build

🤔 Background
Related #1106
Build Bash 3.0 Image fetched the tarball with a bare curl -LO, no retry and

no fallback. ftp.gnu.org timed out on two unrelated PRs within one afternoon

(#1103 and #1105), both curl exit 28, and each needed a human to notice the

red tick had nothing to do with the change.
💡 Changes
  • --retry 5 --retry-delay 3 --retry-connrefused --connect-timeout 20 on all three downloads
  • mirrors.kernel.org fallback for the tarball, so a single mirror being slow is not a failed build
