GRIB2 NCEP Tables Out of Date.

Good morning!

After reviewing the netcdf-java v5.7.0 grib2 resources, I've noticed that these files appear to be outdated. I'm also unsure which GRIB2 version they correspond to.

For reference, the latest GRIB2 documentation (v33.0.0) can be found here: NCEP GRIB2 Documentation.
Additionally, details on recent updates can be found in the WMO GRIB2 release notes.

My questions are:

Is there a plan to keep these resource files updated to align with the latest GRIB2 standards?
For users who rely on these packages, what steps would you recommend for keeping the resource files current if updates are not maintained in this repository?

Thank you for your report! Yes, those are very much out-of-date. We do try to keep the tables up-to-date, but this fell through the cracks as I came back up-to-speed after rejoining Unidata last November. I will work on getting those upgraded today and they will be available in a snapshot version soon.

The latest 5.7.1-SNAPSHOT artifacts should have the latest NCEP GRIB2 tables :-)
