For background see https://cloud.google.com/stackdriver/docs/managed-prometheus/cost-controls, but then we still want for example node CPU.

  • Our node-exporter already runs a subset of collectors.
  • Our kube-state-metrics exports the full set of metrics, which is huge. We should reduce that.

For background see https://cloud.google.com/stackdriver/docs/managed-prometheus/cost-controls, but then we still want for example node CPU.

  • Our node-exporter already runs a subset of collectors.
  • Our kube-state-metrics exports the full set of metrics, which is huge. We should reduce that.
