Misc insights. Will be merged because we're already running k3s 0.10.2 since #9

  • Docker Registry has the default behavior that layer pull (blob get) are redirected to bucket backend's URLs. This is fine for public S3, but for us it adds a dependency to one more name resolution and port forwarding rule.
  • The "standard" storage class is not a naming convention but a property, which the default provisioner in k3s rightly follows.

Misc insights. Will be merged because we're already running k3s 0.10.2 since #9
  • Docker Registry has the default behavior that layer pull (blob get) are redirected to bucket backend's URLs. This is fine for public S3, but for us it adds a dependency to one more name resolution and port forwarding rule.
  • The "standard" storage class is not a naming convention but a property, which the default provisioner in k3s rightly follows.
