Aged Care Checker is an independent Australian website that helps families review and compare residential aged care homes.

Choosing an aged care home is one of the hardest decisions a family makes, and the information you need is scattered across a dozen government portals, spreadsheets and PDFs. We bring it into one place: official Star Ratings, care minutes and staffing, accommodation deposits and daily fees, quality indicators, and reviews from residents and the people who visit them. Every number is sourced and every term is explained in plain language.

How we work

• Independent. Not owned by or affiliated with any aged care provider. Any commercial relationship is disclosed.
• Sourced. Every statistic is tied to a named official source and a date. Where sources disagree, we show both.
• Written for people. RAD, DAP, AN-ACC and means-tested care fees are explained every time they appear.
• Corrected in the open. Mistakes are fixed and noted on the page.
