It would be useful to have a master V4A processing switch for each device profile, clearly showing which output devices should use V4A processing.
For example:
Internal Speaker — V4A Off
Wired Headphones — V4A On
Bluetooth Device — V4A On
When processing is disabled for a device profile, V4A should ideally stop/suspend its audio processing pipeline (or stop MediaProjection completely if possible?) entirely for that output instead of simply disabling individual effects. For example, we rarely need V4A when using the Internal Speaker, which is also the output, most of the phones uses most of the time. Keeping the master switch off in this profile could avoid unnecessary processing (Media Projection notification) and potentially reduce battery usage.
