Fixes#5827 - although the official action does NOT use
v6yet, this was an easy fix and I was bored...actions/checkout@v6 changed credential storage from
.git/configto a separate file usingincludeIf.gitdir. This fix handles the case where the git config doesn't exist..nothrow()on git config command to handle v6
