If a test ASSERT failed after Start() (e.g. Subscribe failed), the local FSBufferedWatcher / FSWatcher was destroyed without Stop(). The notify thread was still waiting on mCondVar, then the CV/thread were torn down → hang (often until timeout killed it). That’s why BufferedNotificationNotSentBeforeTimeout looked stuck.
