Rationale for this change

Fix a bug in our implementation of pull on grouped datasets

What changes are included in this PR?

An additional test, the fix.

Are these changes tested?

Yes, with the test I added to.

Are there any user-facing changes?

Users will now get the expected behavior when using pull on grouped queries.

This PR contains a "Critical Fix".

After merging your PR, Conbench analyzed the 4 benchmarking runs that have been run so far on merge-commit cad13bf.

There were no benchmark performance regressions. 🎉

The full Conbench report has more details. It also includes information about 21 possible false positives for unstable benchmarks that are known to sometimes produce them.
