I think these reviews are valuable and could potentially help improve the throughput of reviews in this repo

Good to know Copilot Reviews are configurable: https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/how-tos/copilot-on-github/customize-copilot/add-custom-instructions/add-repository-instructions#creating-custom-instructions

One thing we need to figure out is how good these reviews actually are. Codex/Claude with frontier models can do a lot, but if Copilot Reviews only use more basic models, we should probably delegate only easier review tasks to them.

I've quite liked using these in apache/sedona-db, although they certainly miss things (particularly for larger PRs). I personally try to run copilot reviews on my own PRs before asking a human to look at them and enjoy it when others do this. I like having that be explicit so as a human reviewer I can have a handle on what the AI reviewer caught...I've also seen contributors do a PR into their own fork and have copilot review it there to reduce noise.
