Tap by coordinates doesn't work with iOS devices using 3DTouch

The problem

Tap doesn't work with iOS devices using 3D Touch no matter iOS version.

Environment

• Appium version (or git revision) that exhibits the issue: 1.10.0
• Desktop OS/version used to run Appium: macOS Majove
• Node.js version (unless using Appium.app|exe):
• Npm or Yarn package manager:
• Mobile platform/version under test: iOS 11, 12
• Real device or emulator/simulator: iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone X
• Appium CLI or Appium.app|exe:

Details

For example I can tap by coordinate on all iPads and iPhone 5s or SE but when I try tap on iPhone 6s Plus or Higher nothing happens. I can't understand why. Could you explain me if I'm doing something wrong?
I use default method self.driver.tap([(x, y)])

There is a separate touch actions extension for 3D touch: https://github.com/appium/java-client/blob/fa71401de3fdb74eef7e4e7d513cf0c8e6adbe36/src/main/java/io/appium/java_client/ios/touch/IOSPressOptions.java#L48

Otherwise I don't have any other suggestions, since WDA simply calls the downstream XCTest API. Which means if it still does not work then the issue should be reported to Apple.

Thanks guys, you've opened my eyes =)

But during testing new press func, I've seemed another issue, may be is not related to this one but I want to describe.

Pre-condition:
go to Preferences --> scroll to safari element

safari = self.driver.find_element(*element)
safari_coord = safari.location
touch = TouchAction(driver=self.driver)
touch.press(x=safari_coord['x'], y=safari_coord['y']).release()
touch.perform()

Result:
Above element was tapped.
