Scroll performance is not smooth

The scrolling frame rate seems to lurch or jitter now. As you scroll with the mouse, at first things scroll smoothly and then everything freezes for a bit, then scrolls again, etc.

Performance is decent again after fixing memory leaks and linear algorithms.
