Summary

  • add a generic, content-addressed inline-policy candidate swap
  • stage the complete candidate before an operation and remove predecessor policies only after success
  • remove only a newly staged candidate when the operation fails
  • support successful transitions to no policy without sending an invalid empty IAM policy
  • migrate Harness auto-role creation without changing its policy contents, flags, role naming, or ownership behavior

Stack

Testing

  • candidate-swap and Harness role tests: 14 pass
  • Harness replay suite: 146 pass
  • source suite at this layer: 581 pass
  • source-scoped TypeScript, lint, formatting, and bundle build
  • live AWS Harness lifecycle: create, update, and delete for Harnesses and Endpoints
  • failure coverage: operation failure, rollback failure, cleanup failure, and first-time creation

Superseded by the simplified three-PR Gateway stack beginning at #1899. The candidate inline-policy abstraction and Harness migration were removed from the Gateway ancestry.

Summary
  • add a generic, content-addressed inline-policy candidate swap
  • stage the complete candidate before an operation and remove predecessor policies only after success
  • remove only a newly staged candidate when the operation fails
  • support successful transitions to no policy without sending an invalid empty IAM policy
  • migrate Harness auto-role creation without changing its policy contents, flags, role naming, or ownership behavior

Testing
  • candidate-swap and Harness role tests: 14 pass
  • Harness replay suite: 146 pass
  • source suite at this layer: 581 pass
  • source-scoped TypeScript, lint, formatting, and bundle build
  • live AWS Harness lifecycle: create, update, and delete for Harnesses and Endpoints
  • failure coverage: operation failure, rollback failure, cleanup failure, and first-time creation
