Summary

  • Add top-level permissions: contents: read to build-and-test.yml and lint.yml
  • Restricts GITHUB_TOKEN scope to least-privilege for all jobs
  • The coverage job in build-and-test.yml already has job-level permissions (pull-requests: write) which override the workflow-level default as needed

Resolves code scanning alerts #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9.

Test plan

  • Verify build-and-test workflow passes (build + coverage jobs)
  • Verify lint workflow passes (all 6 jobs)
  • Confirm code scanning alerts are resolved after merge

Add top-level `permissions: contents: read` to build-and-test and lint
workflows to restrict GITHUB_TOKEN scope. Resolves code scanning alerts
for missing workflow permissions.
