OAuth redirect_uri not approved

I’m guessing frankly this is a known and expected issue, but I’m unable to auth with the tool at the moment.

When running basecamp auth login, the OAuth flow fails with:

warning: OAuth discovery failed for https://3.basecampapi.com, using Launchpad fallback

The browser opens to https://launchpad.37signals.com/authorization/new but displays:

Provided redirect_uri is not approved

This is a server-side issue — 37signals hasn't registered the CLI's OAuth redirect URI with their Launchpad authorization server. The CLI itself is installed and functioning correctly (basecamp doctor passes all non-auth checks).

Not sure if an endpoint just isn’t connected or something, but I’ve been unable to test out the tool so far! (Sorry if this is a pointless issue I’m creating.)

Looking like you have BASECAMP_CLIENT_ID env var set, so it's trying to auth as your own OAuth client and failing to match redirect URIs. Unset that env var and you should be good to go.

I'll update the CLI's env var support to use a BASECAMP_OAUTH_* prefix instead and give some clearer output/guidance when the client is overridden. Bring-your-own client is supported, and I'm aiming to switch to dynamic client registration once server-side support lands.
