FreeBSD Packages - please make pkgng packages

Most of the available packages are built using the old FreeBSD package format, which is not usable on 10, and very cumbersome on 9.x systems that have updated to the new PKGNG format

Can the next round of packages for FreeBSD be build against the pkgng format

OR, having a proper port maintainer would be the best overall solution, and let the FreeBSD community help maintain and patch.
