Webhook Test

A simple webhook test for listening to events. Bundled with a SQLite3 DB, a lightweight database

Instructions for setup

Dependencies: NodeJS, NPM, Express, Pug, Nodemon, Docker

  • Install dependencies with npm install command
  • Run npm run start in local to test
  • Base URL is http://localhost:3000
  • Visit /track for viewing updates on HTML
  • Post request with mock object to test at /event
  • It contains auto trimmer for DB records older than 7 days
  • Dockerfile is included for containerizing the app
  • To build docker image docker build . -t <your username>/webhook
  • docker images to confirm the build is ready
  • Run the image docker run -p 49160:3000 -d <your username>/webhook
  • Docker ps to see if its running
