[Question] Tooltips v2

You did a big work with the v2 and thanks for that.
But I tought that tooltips display for line chart will be finally reworked

point.hitRadius is not a good option, high values break everything and its behaviour is not relevant...
If a more relevant behaviour can be added ("show the tooltip of the nearest dot" for example), it will be great.
or something like this maybe https://n3-charts.github.io/line-chart/#/examples ?

@frlinw if the quad-tree-event-lookup branch is finished and merged, this will be much easier. I'm hoping to get some work done on it this weekend but it won't be merged until after 2.0.0 releases
