Agents got confused and were trying to use comma-separated individual keys. Specify in the help texts that these are handler keys, and allow comma-separated keys.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Updated CLI help text and README examples to describe --keys as top-level config sections (examples: auth_email session) and to note values can be separated by spaces or commas. Added a non-exported helper appendKeys(url, keys?) that splits comma-separated entries, trims them, and appends each non-empty segment as repeated keys query parameters. fetchInstanceConfigSchema and fetchInstanceConfig now use this helper. Tests for config pull and config schema were updated and extended to verify comma-separated and whitespace-trimmed --keys are encoded as separate keys= query params. A changeset documenting the behavior change was added.

A few notes:

  • plapi.tsappendKeys: --keys "auth_email, session" -> Commander passes ["auth_email, session"] → split yields [" session"] which is truthy, so the URL ends up with keys=auth_email&keys=+session (space URL-encoded). .trim() inside the loop fixes it.
  • Help text says (e.g. auth_email, session) (comma) but examples use --keys auth_email session (space). "separate with spaces or commas" makes both paths explicit.
  • Nit: new schema.test.ts case is missing the expect(requestedUrl).toContain("/config/schema") assertion its sibling has.

Only the .trim() feels blocking.

Only the .trim() feels blocking.

Agents got confused and were trying to use comma-separated individual keys. Specify in the help texts that these are handler keys, and allow comma-separated keys.

A few notes:

  • plapi.tsappendKeys: --keys "auth_email, session" -> Commander passes ["auth_email, session"] → split yields [" session"] which is truthy, so the URL ends up with keys=auth_email&keys=+session (space URL-encoded). .trim() inside the loop fixes it.
  • Help text says (e.g. auth_email, session) (comma) but examples use --keys auth_email session (space). "separate with spaces or commas" makes both paths explicit.
  • Nit: new schema.test.ts case is missing the expect(requestedUrl).toContain("/config/schema") assertion its sibling has.

Only the .trim() feels blocking.

Description check✅ PassedThe description explains that agents were confused about comma-separated keys and the PR updates help text to clarify these are handler keys while allowing comma-separated input, which relates to the changeset's modifications.

- Around line 84-89: The appendKeys function appends raw comma-split values
without trimming, causing entries like " auth_email" to include leading spaces;
update appendKeys to trim each split segment before checking emptiness and
appending so that for each key in key.split(",") you use the trimmed value (skip
if trimmed is empty) when calling url.searchParams.append("keys", trimmed).
Ensure you still return early when keys is falsy/empty and preserve the existing
loop structure in appendKeys.
