Description

This takes the ideas from #9446 and applies them to a later base, #9191.

This lets us better see the full final structure.

The approach is mostly the same as in the other PR, but instead of keeping the controller in user-button.tsx, it moves it into user-button.controller.tsx. The machine that was introduced in the PR this targets is moved into that file, so we have no more separate .machine. file.

user-button.tsx is now a thin wrapper that wires everything together and provides the public API. To steal and adapt the table from the original PR:

BeforeAfterRole
user-button.controller.tsxuser-button.model.tsxderives data and intents from Clerk
user-button.machine.tsx + parts of user-button.tsxuser-button.controller.tsxlocal state layer between model and view
user-button.tsxuser-button.tsxbinds the model to the controller to the view
user-button.view.tsxunchangedrenders

The idea is that the .controller. can be structured any number of ways. A machine is great for slightly more complex components, but for simpler components we could use React state directly.

I also rewrote the .machine. tests to implementation-agnostic .controller. tests to decouple tests a bit more from the implementation details. I found they were equally easy to read so I didn't think there was any negative tradeoff of doing that here, but we could definitely have machine-specific tests too where that makes sense (not opposed to bringing them back here either).

I also removed and rewrote a bunch of unclear comments.

The logic should be almost entirely unchanged, this PR mostly moves things around.

Update: I included a small fix to avoid loading the orgs lists until we know orgs are enabled via environment.organizationSettings.enabled. The "ready" state already does not depend on these loading states, so no other changes were necessary.

This does not fix the dev warning because we call useOrganizations and useOrganizationList, that's likely best tackled separately.
