Summary:

  • Write RELEASE_NOTES.md to artifacts/ and point action-gh-release body_path there
  • Add artifacts/ to .gitignore to avoid uncommitted files in the release job

Why:

  • Prevents cargo publish from failing on uncommitted changes introduced by the release workflow (RELEASE_NOTES.md and downloaded tarballs)

Notes:

  • No functional changes to binaries or crate contents; this only affects CI workflow behavior
  • cargo publish remains strict (no --allow-dirty)
