The workflow was failing because it was trying to download v0.16.0
but the latest release is v0.15.0. Changed to dynamically fetch the
latest version from GitHub API to make it future-proof.
The mdbook-linkcheck zip contains a README.md that was causing
an interactive prompt during CI, leading to build failures.
The artifact was uploading ./book which contains html/ and linkcheck/
subdirectories. GitHub Pages expects HTML files at the artifact root,
not in a subdirectory. Changed to upload ./book/html directly.
- Document --request-log flag and log format
- Show example output with allowed/blocked indicators
- Add BigQuery streaming integration example using Line Processor
- Demonstrate combining local logging with cloud analytics
- Replace incorrect 'bq insert' with 'bq load' command
- Use newline-delimited JSON format as required by BigQuery
- Implement batching for efficient loading (avoids per-request overhead)
- Add trap handler for graceful shutdown
- Include requester_ip field in logged data
- Use proper --source_format and --autodetect flags
Remove unnecessary batching logic - this is documentation, not
production code. The example now clearly shows the essential pattern:
collect requests in NDJSON format, load to BigQuery on exit.

- Implement batching for efficient loading (avoids per-request overhead)
- Add trap handler for graceful shutdown
- Include requester_ip field in logged data
- Use proper --source_format and --autodetect flags
Remove unnecessary batching logic - this is documentation, not
production code. The example now clearly shows the essential pattern:
collect requests in NDJSON format, load to BigQuery on exit.
