Summary

  • replace the rejected mailto: Support project URL with the public HTTPS SUPPORT.md URL
  • fail closed when any canonical distribution Project-URL is not HTTPS
  • add regression coverage and record the metadata contract in release documentation

Root cause

The first 0.1.0a1 release workflow reached PyPI OIDC publication, but Warehouse rejected the artifacts with HTTP 400 because Project-URL: Support, mailto:support@cometapi.com is not accepted as a project URL. No distribution was published.

Impact

The rebuilt wheel and source distribution retain version 0.1.0a1 and now expose an HTTPS Support project URL. The support email remains documented in SUPPORT.md; no runtime SDK behavior changes.

Verification

  • uv sync --locked
  • uv run ruff check src tests scripts
  • uv run ruff format --check src tests scripts
  • uv run pyright
  • uv run pytest -m "not live" — 201 passed, 1 deselected
  • uv run python scripts/check_version.py --expected 0.1.0a1 --require-changelog --require-releasable-docs
  • uv run python scripts/check_secrets.py
  • uv run python scripts/check_workflows.py
  • uv build
  • uv run twine check dist/*
  • uv run python scripts/check_artifacts.py dist/*
  • uv run python scripts/check_clean_install.py dist/*
  • uv run python scripts/check_repository_independence.py
  • uv run python scripts/run_actionlint.py

An independent read-only adversarial review found no implementation/spec blocker; its documentation finding was resolved in this diff.

  • uv run ruff check src tests scripts
  • uv run ruff format --check src tests scripts
  • uv run pyright
  • uv run pytest -m "not live" — 201 passed, 1 deselected

An independent read-only adversarial review found no implementation/spec blocker; its documentation finding was resolved in this diff.
