What happened?
Description
Our client is repeatedly noticing content loss in a channel called “Personen”. The affected entries have a ContentBlock field named personContentBlock.
The content loss seems isolated to this field. Other entry fields remain intact, but the nested content inside personContentBlock disappears.
I have not been able to reproduce this reliably. We had several meetings with the client to narrow it down, but couldn’t identify a clear workflow that triggers it. The client also says the content is not lost immediately after saving, but only after some time, which seems hard to explain from our side.
Looking at revisions, I can see cases where at 09:37 the personContentBlock still contains all values. In the next revision at 09:38, only something small like the entry title was changed, but the content inside personContentBlock is gone.
This issue is partly a shot in the dark to understand what could cause this or what we should look for.
Steps to reproduce
Unknown. We have not been able to reproduce it reliably.
Observed pattern:
An entry in the “Personen” channel has filled content in personContentBlock.
A later revision is created after a small unrelated change, e.g. title change.
In that revision, personContentBlock is empty.
Expected behavior
Changing unrelated entry fields should not clear existing values inside personContentBlock.
Actual behavior
A later revision exists where unrelated changes are saved, but the personContentBlock content is empty.
