Update remote UID/GID on MacOS

Hello,

I'm using devcontainers on MacOS, and it seems that UID/GID are not updated anymore (and I need them to be updated). I tried to modify the code and I saw that updateRemoteUserUIDOnMacOS is false. Is there a way to force it to true ? Or what are the conditions for this param to be true ?

Docker Desktop automatically maps UID/GID on macOS. Are you using something else?

Hi! I just ran into this as well using colima. Flipping the updateRemoteUserUIDOnMacOS flag to true and building from source gave me the expected behavior, but it would be great if the flag was available in the official release -- other workarounds feel much hackier.
