Sidebar is misbehaving when docs are deployed on Cloudflare pages

Steps to reproduce

1. Create documentation that has different folders. The layout should look like this.
2. Upload the documents on cloudflare pages and deploy.

README.md
index.html
_sidebar.md
_navbar.md
folder1/utils.md
folder2/constants.md

Current behaviour

When a user clicks an item on the sidebar that is in one of the folders, the sidebar disappears. The workaround is to duplicate the _sidebar.md in each folder which is not ideal.

Expected behaviour

The sidebar should be visible at all times.
